McGraw-Hill Professional has an immediate opening for an Special Markets Account Manager- Business & Finance , based in our New York office. The Special Markets Account Manager - Business & Finance is responsible for developing premium and training opportunities of print, custom and digital content in the corporate and association markets. Target accounts include financial services and Fortune 500 companies. Day-to-day activities include customer calls, sales and business analysis, interaction with our Marketing and Editorial Departments to maximize sales opportunities, and strategic planning for corporate growth. Essential Accountabilities * Increase MHP revenue and achieve profitability goals in designated territory * Develop new business through prospecting, networking and partnership development * Manage customer base to grow existing account revenue * Identify custom publishing and digital opportunities within special markets * Monitor sales activity, provide sales information and forecasting, prepare presentation of account sales information at regularly scheduled account analyses and business reviews * Represent McGraw-Hill at meetings, conferences, and other public venues * Travel required, which may include weekends * 5-7 years successful sales experience * Professional and highly effective sales and marketing skills * Strategic planning and negotiating skills balanced with day-to-day management of current business * Excellent organizational skills needed to handle a wide variety or details and projects in a multi-task fast paced publishing environment * Driven to exceed sales goal * Ability to successfully manage relationships with customers * Excellent selling skills * Willingness and ability to prospect for new accounts via telephone, email and in person * Goal driven to meet revenue targets while maximizing profits * Ability to develop and give sales presentations, orally and written, to customers and/or internal staff and management The McGraw-Hill Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
