Financing can be one of the more challenging parts of a complex farming, construction or commercial landscaping operation. John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services.

John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects. The company has already invested in a host of wind energy projects in the rural United States, which not only will drive additional income for farmers but will also meet our nation's growing demand for electricity. As the demand for wind energy continues to grow, John Deere Credit is poised and ready to provide project development, debt financing and other services to those interested in harvesting the wind domestically and abroad.

John Deere Credit is seeking a Merchant Services Representative. In this position you will:

Respond to merchant inquiries by phone and written correspondence.
Troubleshoot for merchants electronically transmitting their transaction data.
Assist merchants with electronic upgrades and installations.
Work closely with Sales Managers and/or Branch Personnel to resolve problems and increase sales volume.
Build dealer relationships through proactive phone calls regarding business retention and increasing sales volume.
Travel on an occasional basis to merchants' locations.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience working in a call center or related customer service environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel and Internet. Ability to learn department specific computer programs.
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal/external customers and prioritize work in alignment with the needs of the customer.
Proven ability to earn trust and credibility by completing own share of team's work and support team decisions, even if different from own opinion.
Demonstrated ability to identify and apply "best practices" in own work and improve the efficiency of own work by eliminating barriers and streamlining work processes.
Proven ability to independently make decisions and take action, even in non-routine situations, and use good judgment in deciding whether to make a decision or escalate it.
Proven ability to positively deal with changes that affect job requirements and adapt to shifting priorities.
Demonstrated ability to gather appropriate data and diagnose the cause of a problem before taking action.
Desired Skills and Experience

Knowledge of Agricultural, Consumer and/or Commercial finance products and services.
Experience with transaction data entry and processing.

NOTE: Telephone calls made or received by this associate, and the computer systems accessed during these calls, may be monitored or recorded for training/quality purposes.

POSITION HOURS: Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with rotating 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Occasional Saturdays and holidays.
