The Intake Specialist is responsible for managing incoming calls to our Health Services Department, obtain necessary clinical and demographic information, entering that data into the appropriate computer screens, certification of specific clinical procedures, verification of facility and provider preferred provider status, and preparation of correspondence regarding coverage. This position requires superior customer service skills and significant attention to detail and accuracy. This role is an important one within our HMA Health Services Department and regularly interacts with providers and facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school.
* 1 year experience with ACD telephone customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
* Familiarity with medical coding.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Team player.
* Proficient with MS Office suite and Excel.
