Description:Title: HR Coordinator/Immigration ServicesReq Number: chmc-00022302 Department: Employment / 11-120104 Job Grade: C-4 Start Time AM/PM: 8:00 End Time AM/PM: 5:00 Work Shift: 1st shift Hours Per Week: 40 Salary: 15.40 - 25.67 Location(s): Cincinnati OH 1. Provide administrative support and assistance for recruitment and retention activities involving foreign nationals. 2. Maintain, input and ensure integrity of data and records related to the immigration function within the applicant tracking system, immigration databases, nonresident alien (NRA) tax withholding system and the HRIS system. Serve as a resource on the above systems; participate in training staff and extracting special reports or data. 3. Research and participate in the resolution of individual employee/applicant problems as related to immigration issues. Assist employees and managers in the interpretation of personnel policies and procedures as they related to immigration issues. 4. Track immigration and visa deadlines, and coordinate correspondence to foreign national employees and their managers regarding such. 5. Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation including scheduling participants and speakers, food service, managing orientation materials, etc. 6. Participate in job fairs, college recruitment activities, and other recruitment events as needed. 7. Comply with and support Cincinnati Children's EEO/Affirmative Action efforts in recruitment and selection 8. Participate in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement, performing new procedures, collecting data and providing input to department discussions. 9. Develop knowledge and professional skills through cross-training, literature and attendance at departmental meetings. 10. Ensure that work areas are organized and present a safe, accessible, effective and efficient environment for employees, patients and families. Attend/complete required Cincinnati Children's training sessions, including Diversity, Civil Treatment, HIPAA, OSHA and CARES. Comply with Infection Control policies and procedures. 11. Understand, adhere to and model Core Standards as defined organizationally and specifically within the department/unit. 12. Follow policies and procedures governing the handling of confidential information as defined by Cincinnati Children's mission and applicable laws and regulations. 13. Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS: Effective verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Capable of relating to diverse age and demographic backgrounds. Demonstrated advanced clerical skills including accuracy, attention to detail, sound judgment, prioritization ability and independent work initiative. Proficient data entry and typing skills. Computer literate and working knowledge of software applications (word processing, spreadsheet and database). Possess working knowledge of Cincinnati Children's policies and procedures, legal issues and Human Resources functions. Possess a professional, customer service oriented and diplomatic manner. Ability to speak other languages preferred. Experience working with immigration and NRA tax issues preferred. EDUCATION\WORK EXPERIENCE: Associate's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years' related experience within a Human Resources, legal or academic environment.
